Well, last night I went to my first Thanksgiving celebration. The miraculous Shannon was able to provide a HUGE dinner for 25 of her closest friends, in an amazing display of extreme nurturing.
It's a lovely holiday, seemingly unaffected by commercialism, where people genuinely get together to have a think about the things they are grateful for, and to celebrate a big harvest - in whatever form that takes. Having lots of red wine also helps the jovial nature of the event.
It feels nice to have been invited into a home at this time of year, and three cheers for the host & hostess, and their wonderful hospitality.
I should have taken photos.
