This morning on my way to work, I went past the library, only to discover that the filming of Battlestar Galactica was in progress!! (Apologies for any inconvenience.)
There was a dude and a dudette in futuristic, slightly shiny camo gear, horsing around by the catering table, nestled amongst a whole bunch of metal things, and lots of guys in outdoor jackets with headsets.
And then! I went to get a coffee from the little Cafe D'Azur which is about 4 doors down from a Starbucks (poor bastards, it's their lunches that make it OK), when 2 French people came in. The barista immediately whipped up the suggestion of a croissant, and I was proud to understand when the madam asked for a "serviette".
This "shining planet, known as Earth", eh?
