Not that i'm a total boozehead or anything, but I popped a housewarming bottle of vino from the Napa Valley's Topanga Vineyard this evening, and it struck me that a 2001 Cab Sav is no longer young.
That D'Arenberg's 98 Footbolt I left at home must be rounding quite nicely.
Which reminds me... if you're looking for a sweet, full-bodied sparkling red, you simply must buy Peppermint Paddock (quite a bit of which I sipped at home over Christmas). And, while you're there, try their Broken Fishplate Sauvignon Blanc.
